DETAILED PROGRAM
DAY 1: CUSCO – RAINFOREST LODGE
We leave from Cusco by our private car, driving through the mountains, to get to the typical folkloric town of Paucartambo. Here we take a short walk around the town before carrying on to Ajanacu, the entrance to the Cultural Zone of Manu Park. From there we continue enjoying since the High Andean mountain then do some walk in Dwarf Forest to see Grey breasted mountain toucan (Andigena hypoglauca), Scarlet-bellied mountain tanager (Anisognathus igniventris) barred fruiteater (Pipreola arcuata), Later in the afternoon we will walk for several hours in Cloud Forest to visit a complex courtship behavior, performing impressive lek displays of Cock of the Rock national bird of Peru (Rupicola peruviana), quetzal (Pharomachrus mocinno),Trogon (Trogon collaris), Blue Crowned Motmot (Momotus coeruliceps),Gray woolly monkey (Lagothrix cana) and enjoy orchids growing on the rocks. Arriving early evening at our private Rainforest Lodge where we will stay overnight.
DAY 2: RAINFOREST LODGE – BLAMQUILLO LODGE
After breakfast we continue travelling by our private car towards Atalaya Port. On the way we stop to observe a coca plantation and the view point where you can get a spectacular overview of the jungle and the river. From Atalaya we travel by motorized boat along Alto Madre de Dios River towards Aguas Calientes, where we will enjoy bath in the natural hot springs. During the boat trip we will see many different kinds of animals Capibara (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris) maybe jaguar (Panthera onca) especially birds Ringed Kingfisher (Megaceryle torquata), Cocoi heron (Ardea cocoi), burrowing owl (Athene cunicularia) and a beautiful landscape. In the afternoon we arrive to Bonanza Ecological Reserve. ; In the afternoon the group will do jungle walk for several hours and visit observation tower you will as you climb you will feel the adrenaline with every step, once you reach the top platform enjoy a breathtaking landscape framed by an endless sea of treetops, from this height we appreciate countless species of macaws like Scarlet Macaw (Ara Macaw) Red and Green Macaw (Ara Chloropterus), Plum-throated cotinga (Cotinga maynana), Paradise tanager (Tangara chilensis) that are in constant activity, the treetops are also the favorite place of monkeys Squirrel monkeys (Saimiri bolivienses) that are looking for food and many other species that live at this height of the forest. Soon the darkness arrive we will enjoy an exciting night walk in the middle of the tropical jungle full of life. In deep darkness, surrounded by hundreds of jungles sounds and with the help of powerful lights, you enter a world inhabited by the most unique, diverse and shy creatures. Many animals, especially insects, amphibians and reptiles, hide from predators during the day. Now is the best time to find beautiful tree frogs, shy snakes and other jungle creatures that only come out at night. From noisy night monkey" (Aotus vociferans), giant monkey frog (Phyllomedusa bicolor), Tarantulas (Avicularia avicularia), Wolf spider (Licósidos), Baterfly Buho (Caligo eurilochus). We will stay overnight at our private Lodge.
DAY 3: BLAMQUILLO LODGE – MACAW CLAY LICK – BLANCO LAKE
This morning we will get up very early, to go by boat and walking through the forest to the Blamquillo Macaw Clay Lick, the clay licks are exposed clay areas where birds and mammals come to eat clay rich in minerals, the clay lick is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular of the Amazon, located on the cliffs. It is visited by 4 species of macaws: red and green macaws (Ara chloropterus), Scarlet Macaw (Ara Macaw), blue and yellow macaws (Ara ararauna), chesnut fronted macaw, blue headed parrots (Pionus menstruus), mealy parrots (Amazona farinose). We will stay here at a camouflaged house, it is bird lover’s paradise,After a rest we will go to visit the most amazing lake of Cocha Blanco. From a catamaran we watch animals such as gamin herons (Agamia agami), Hornet screamer birds (Anhima cornuta) and spider monkeys (Ateles paniscus), Squirrel monkeys (Saimiri bolivienses) brown capucchino (Sapajus apella) and enjoy watching the family of Giant Otters (Pteronura brasiliensis) fishing and eating. En la evening we will go back to the lodge where we will see big Black Caimans (Melanosuchus niger) We will stay overnight at our beautifull Blamquillo Lodge.
DAY 4: BLAMQUILLO LODGE – BONANZA ECOLOGICAL RESERVE
We will explore early in the morning the amazing jungle in Blanquillo Lodge after these activities we take our motorized boat to Bonanza E. R. We might also see Capibara (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris), jaguar (Panthera onca) turtles and Black Caimans (Melanosuchus niger) and Cocoi Heron (Ardea cocoi) After a short stop in Boca Manu. We continue upriver (Alto Madre de Dios River) to Bonanza Ecological Reserve. From here we walk for around one hour to our camouflaged house where we spend the night protected with mosquito nets and you will get the experience of seeing the amazing wildlife behavior from animals such as Tapirs (tapirus terrestris), Red Brocket deers (mazama Americana), Paca Rodents (Cuniculus paca) Amazonian Long-tailed Porcupi (Coendou Longicaudatus) feeding on the mineral salts. We spend the night here taking shifts to watch for nocturnal animals.
DAY 5: BONANZA ECOLOGICAL RESERVE – CUSCO
After a well-deserved rest, we will wake up early and beginning our travel river up by boat towards Atalaya Port where our car will be awaiting to us to take through cloud forest and then dwarf forest later to Ajanacu, known as the gateway to Manu Park. From there, we proceed to the traditional folkloric town of Paucartambo. Where we enjoyed the scenery of the Andean mountains and farms by private car, enjoying arriving to Cusco in the early afternoon where you will be drop off by your hotel.

What you need to take: VERY IMPORTANT
- Light sleeping bag or light blanket
- Insect repellent (minimum 25% DEET)
- Camera with extra batteries for several days
- Binoculars (10x42)
- Powerful long-range flashlight with spare batteries
- Macro lens (10–65mm) and telephoto lens (150mm–400mm or 600mm)
- Lens extender (1.4x or 2x)
- Waterproof case or dry bags to protect electronics and valuables
- Sunscreen
- Pocket money
- Daypack and reusable water bottle

- Sandals (preferably with straps)
- Extra toilet paper
